Ubisoft je izgleda i prije zakazane najave ( peti mart ) izbacio par ingame screenshot-a, koji pokazuju novog protagonistu sa nekim od novih oružja koje po prvi put vidimo u ovom serijalu.
Na osnovu GI ( gameinformer-a ), Assassin's Creed 3, te njegov glavni junak je porjeklom iz New York-a i Bostona, a sama radnja je smještena između 1753 - 1783 godine.
Novi heroj novog nastavka poznate igre, naziva se Connor, koji ima oca porjeklom iz Engleske, te majku porjeklom iz Amerike. Tokom igranja, igrači će iskusiti Conner-ovo djetinjstvo.
Conner posvjećuje svoj život suočavanju sa tiranijom, tj. templarima, nakon što su isti napali i zapalili njegovo selo.
Poboljšan engin sposoban predstavljanju borbe koja sadrži preko hiljade vojnika, te potpuno novi animacijski sistem, kao i impresivne animacije lica su obećane u novom nastavku.
Također, igrači će imati mogućnost penjanja uz drveća, planine, a upoznati ćete i George Washingtona, Benjamin Franklina i Charles Lee-a tokom svog putovanja.

Developeri Bllizarda su odlučili da uklone PvP iz Diabla III da bi osigurali izlazak igre na vrijeme.
Bllizard je donio tešku odluku koja osigurava izlazak igre na vrijeme. Odlučili su da uklone PvP nego da igra opet kasni.
Glavni razlog ovog poteza je taj što Bllizard nije zadovoljan trenutnim PvP-om.
