Black Ops: Escalation DLC sljedeće sedmice Call of Duty: Black Ops' Escalation DLC će konačno izaći i za PS3 i to sljedeće sedmice. DLC paket, koji je za Xbox izašao prije skoro mjesec dana, početkom maja, danas je pušten i za PC. Dodane su četiri nove multiplayer mape i star-sudded zombi ekspanzija nazvana Call of the Dead. Kako je danas najavljeno, PS3 korisnici će na DLC morati čekati do petka, 10. juna. Za sada je pušteno nekoliko screenshot-a, koje možete pogledati ispod. Obavljena su prva testiranja, i po ocjeni Eurogamera, DLC je zaslužio ocjenu 7/10.

Konami najavljuje dvije nove igre Konami nastavlja sa napornim radom, i po svemu sudeći, brzo možemo očekivati nove igre pod njihovim imenom. Danas su najavljene dvije igre, MLB Bobblehead Pros i Red Bull X-fighters World Tour. Obje će biti samo u download-ponudi. Također, planirano je i dva dodatna MLB Bobblehead naslova, kao i AllStar DLC paket. MLB Bobblehead Pros predstavlja malu novinu u baseball-u. Igra dopušta fanovima da biraju omiljeni Major League Baseball igrače. Igra će sadržati 30 MLB timova i moći će se odigrati i do 162 meča. Pored ove, najavljena je i Red Bull X-Fighters. Kao i MLB Bobblehead, biće dostupna za Xbox i PC. Red Bull X-Fighters je motocikl-freestyle igra gdje igrači rade razne trikove koji se ocjenjuju. Očekuje se da bi mogla biti dostupna za download krajem ljeta. Čini se da će izdavanje MLB Bobblehead Pros-a biti malo kasnije, i da će se morati čekati možda čak i do početka zime. Nije se govorilo o cijenama, ali pretpostavlja se da bi mogla iznositi od 10$-15$.

Aplikacije uključene u ovaj operativni sistem iskorištavaju čitav raspoloživi ekran. Windows 8 podržava multitasking tako da više aplikacija može biti prikazano odjednom na ekranu jednostavnim "drag & dropom" na glavni ekran. Windows 8 također iskorištava prednosti trenutnih web standarda, kao što su HTML 5 i Javascript i optimiziran je za rad sa budućim Microsoftovim web browserom Internet Explorerom 10. Activision je konačno potvrdio ono o čemu su neki pričali neko vrijeme, Call of Duty: Elite. Elite će biti za igrače Call of Duty naslova i podržavat će Black Ops i Modern Warfare 3 za početak, ali očekuje se da će svi budući CoD naslovi podržavati Elite. Teško je trenutno objasniti šta je Elite zapravo, jer je još uvijek u razvoju. Znamo da će ponuditi komponentu društvenog umrežavanja, kao i veoma specifičnu i specijalizovanu analizu vašeg igračkog performansa, zajedno sa statistikom, kvarovima i feedback-om. Dok će jedni dijelovi Elite-a biti besplatni i otvoreni za javnost, drugi će biti takozvani "premium-only", koji će zahtijevati plačanje za pristup. Mi smo pod dojmom da će premium korisnici dobiti i DLC pakete bez dodatne naplate, dok će non-premium korisnici, ukoliko se odluče, morati platiti za ovaj sadržaj. Activision je veoma oprezan kada se govori o tome da li će neki igrači ostati bez pristupa online multiplayeru, kao i da li igrači nikada neće morati "platiti" da bi igrali Call Of Duty naslove na internetu. Elite aplikacija bi kod nekih stvari mogla biti veoma slična onoj kod Microsoft-ovog Halo Waypoint-a ali, je Activision planirao odvesti Elite u novim smjerovima nudeći pristup kako za igre, tako i za odvojene aplikacije, pa će čak i neke mobilne platforme koristiti Elite aplikaciju koja će biti na raspolaganju samo za neke mobilne uređaje. (Activision još nije objavio koje će mobilne uređaje podržavati.) Elite će ući u javno beta testiranje, a Activision se nada da će vidjeti visoku stopu potpisivanja za besplatne značajke. Tvrtka se također nada da će premium servis postati veoma popularan, ali dok Activision ne objavi više specifikacija, ne znamo šta očekivati. Cijene još nisu objavljene, a više detalja bi trebali dobiti sljedeće sedmice.

Zapravo, ovo je stvarno veliko iznenađenje. Glasine koje kruže posljednih nekoliko dana će izgleda potvrditi ono što smo već sumnjali: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 neće ponuditi podršku za dedicated servere. Multiplayer podrška će očito funkcionisati skoro isto kao što smo vidjeli kod Modern Warfare 2. Mnoge glasine su kružile oko toga da će MW3 server podrška biti jako slična onoj koju smo vidjeli kod Call of Duty Black Ops, što nudi barem neke ograničene kapacitete posvećene podršci za dedicated servere. Pitanje podrške za dedicated servere će zavisiti od broja predstavljanja multiplayer FPS igara. Nedavno, programeri na DICE i Kaos Studios su došli do usluge za podršku dedicated servera, pružanjem boljeg i kvalitetnijeg gaming iskustva. Ovo nam pokazuje da će nova, Tomb Raider igra biti drugačija od ostalih kako po gameplay-u tako i po grafici. Zajedno sa novim izdanjem ove igre, trebao bi izaći i film.
